I bent my mind out of shape directing this film... but it was worth it.

The challenge of getting to grips with Emily Jackson’s research and the science behind it was a big one. Every time I thought I had a neat storytelling analogy she’d introduce another unfathomable part of biology or regulation, and we’d go from there.

Science is great but weird, beautiful but scary, and producing this video was the ultimate test of making all of that complexity engaging. Plus I’m stoked I got to feature some Blue Peter inspired pinwheels onscreen.
